1) Data we collect

We collect only what we need to provide Daily Why.
Clear + minimal
  • Account data: email address, auth ID, and basic profile details (like display name, timezone).
  • Reflection data: check-ins, answers, selected categories, and optional feelings/tones.
  • Optional media: photos you choose to upload as part of a check-in.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not run ads.

2) How we use data

We use your data to run the product and improve it.
Clear + minimal
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To save and sync your check-ins across devices.
  • To generate basic in-app views (e.g., your past reflections). If AI summaries are added later, they'll be optional.
  • To respond to support emails you send to contact@rahulbharati.dev.

3) Sharing

Sharing is opt-in and quiet.
Clear + minimal
  • If you share a check-in, you may provide a recipient's email. We may send them an email containing the shared content.
  • If the recipient signs in with the same email, shared items may appear in their app.
  • There are no read receipts and no social metrics by design.
  • You are responsible for what you share and confirming you have the right to share it.

4) Third-party services

We use reputable providers to ship faster and stay reliable.
Clear + minimal
  • Supabase (backend/database/auth) stores your account + reflection data.
  • Vercel hosts the marketing website/frontend.
  • Cloudflare provides DNS and caching for the website.
  • Resend delivers emails (verification, invites, support).
  • Google login is provided via Google OAuth.
  • Payments (if any) are handled by Apple App Store / Google Play or Razorpay for web support.

5) Security

We take security seriously, but no system is perfect.
Clear + minimal
  • We use standard security practices and rely on vetted infrastructure providers.
  • You should protect your device, keep your OS updated, and use a strong password if you sign in with email/password.
  • If you believe your account is compromised, contact contact@rahulbharati.dev.

6) Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active, unless you delete it.
Clear + minimal
  • Your check-ins remain stored so you can revisit them later.
  • If you delete your account (or request deletion), we'll remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal or operational requirements.
  • Basic server logs may exist for reliability and security and are retained for limited periods.

7) Your choices

You control what you write, what you share, and what you keep.
Clear + minimal
  • You can change your categories, daily pace, and sharing preferences in the app.
  • You can request help with export/deletion via contact@rahulbharati.dev.
  • Email verification may be encouraged but not required to use core features, depending on your app settings.

8) Cookies (website)

The marketing site is mostly static and kept minimal.
Clear + minimal
  • We may use essential cookies for basic site functionality (like theme).
  • We do not intentionally run invasive trackers. If analytics are added, they should be privacy-respecting and disclosed here.

9) Contact

Have questions or suggestions?
